FREE Polymer Workshop Program 15-23 June 2004 & 18-24 August 2004 Rheology Solutions is running a series of half day hands on workshops in their Victorian facility for 5 days in June and also 5 days in August 2004. The workshops are open to all those interested in polymer rheology and or compounding of polymers. The concept is to provide each individual with application-based demonstrations and hands-on experience in a workshop environment using fully operational equipment. The equipment that will be available includes: • PRISM 16 mm Twin Screw Extruder and including strand pelletising line • HAAKE RS600 High Temperature Modular R&D Rheometer • Shimadzu Autograph Tensile Tester • HAAKE CaBER extensional rheometer

The theme of the 2004 workshop program is:
• 1/2day workshop by specific application - process (eg, extrusion, mixing, compounding using pilot scale equipment), or rheology using rheometers etc
• 4 - 8 people at each workshop - with the ability to tailor this to a company and or specific application or material being run, eg PVC, PE etc.
• Theoretical seminars can be tailored and made available on request on a fee based for service

The workshop will focus on the instrument - equipment and specific applications and provide individuals with the ability to spend a full day covering both pilot scale and rheometers if required or attend these on separate days to suit their schedule.

The program will be provided free of charge and will be run in the laboratory facility and training area at Rheology Solutions. The compounding workshop will be run by Alan Swanborough, Sales & Marketing Director, PRISM UK and the rheology workshop will be run by Dr Tim Kealy, Technical Manager, Rheology Solutions Pty Ltd.

NOTE: If you are outside the Polymer area and interested in pilot scale applications (such as within the food or surface coatings areas etc) we can provide you access to this equipment and a specific workshop also for your application.
