PRISM TSE 16 PC |
PRISM
TSE 16 PC - Bench-top twin-screw extruder and ancillaries
Small-scale
continuous processing for research, development, colour matching
and quality control in the powder coatings industry. The PRISM
TSE 16 Powder Coatings (PC) twin-screw extruders are bench
-top units pre-wired with a manual control panel. The open-barrel
design promotes single screw removal and easy, efficient cleaning.
The PRISM
TSE 16 PC extruders are designed for bench-top operation.
The horizontally-split barrels are quick to open, giving easy
access to screws and process contact surfaces for cleaning
and configuration changes. The barrel has additional ports
for feeding solids and liquids, or for venting.
|
Low maintenance,
brushless variable speed AC motors drive the screws at up to 500
rpm. Available in different barrel lengths of 14:1 and 24:1, the
PRISM TSE 16 PC is suitable for research, development or small-scale
production.
A simple, manual
control panel houses controls and instruments to operate the extruder
and feeders. A PLC-controlled version with touch screen operator
interface is also available.

PRISM TSE 36 PC |
PRISM
TSE 36 PC - Production-scale modular twin-screw extruder
Flexible and reliable powder coating extrusion
at outputs up to 350 kg/hr. The PRISM TSE 36 Powder Coatings
(PC) twin-screw extruder features a segmented screw configuration
and modular open barrel design to handle a full range of formulations.
Each barrel segment is heated and cooled separately for precise
process control.
The PRISM
TSE 36 PC twin-screw extruder is ideal for small-scale production.
A horizontally split barrel, 28:1 L/D, is hinged for easy
access to the screws, and the screws themselves have a simple
removal device for quick and easy cleaning or configuration
changes.
|
Simple controls
may be mounted on the extruder or in a separate free-standing cabinet.
A colour touch screen interface can be added for standard data logging
with the option to download to a remote computer for archiving and
analysis. These controls include recipe storage to pre-set extruder
parameters for repeatable process conditions. Each barrel section
has independent temperature control with PID logic to give precise
temperatures and save energy.
A low maintenance
brushless 22 kW motor drives the screws at up to 750 rpm. An option
for 30 kW at 1000 rpm screw speed is available.
Applications:
Powder coatings, Thermosets and Resin development
Materials:
Epoxy resins, Polyester resins, Polyurethane resins, Hybrid
formulations and
Pharmaceuticals
Pharmaceutical twin-screw extruders and ancillaries for continuous
processing

PRISM PHARMALAB |
PRISM
PHARMALAB - Pilot scale modular twin-screw extruder
Small-scale
continuous processing for research, development and production
in the pharmaceutical industry. The PRISM PHARMALAB compounder
has PLC control with data logging and recipe storage ensuring
reliable and repeatable results. Products can be related back
to processing conditions. The stainless steel compounders
are built to GMP standards with a focus on a clean, streamlined
GMP design.
Available
in 16 mm and 24 mm sizes, the PRISM PHARMALAB series can be
used for research, development or production of pharmaceutical
formulations. Additionally, a full range of ancillary equipment
is available for product mixing, and post-extrusion processing.
|
The horizontally
split barrels (up to 40:1 L/D) have a crevice-free, GMP design.
Quick release clamps give easy access to screws and process contact
surfaces for cleaning or configuration changes. The barrel is modular,
with segments available for feeding solids and liquids, or for venting.
The variable speed AC motors are brushless and therefore low maintenance.
The touch-screen
display is easy to use and easy to clean. The PLC incorporates data
acquisition with an option to download to a remote computer for
archiving and analysis. The controls include recipe storage of preset
extruder parameters for repeatable process conditions.
Applications:
Melt granulation, Biomedical compounds Water sensitive products
and Medical adhesives
Materials:
Medical polymers, Drug delivery systems and Soft gels
